| dc.description.abstract | Bu makale Osmanlı Devleti’nde Vize sancağının ilk çağlardan Osmanlı dönemine kadar olan tarihçesini özetleyerek, 1530 ve 1568 tarihli defterlerin imkân verdiği ölçüde Vize sancağındaki dirlikleri sistematik bir şekilde incelenmektedir. Buna ilaveten bu dirliklerin kimler tarafından tasarruf edildiği, dirlik gelirlerinin cinsi, miktarı ve dirliği tasarruf eden kişilerin tasarrufunda olan köylerin isimleri, tablolarda ayrıntılı olarak belirtilmiştir. Bu çalışma göstermektedir ki, Vize sancağının İstanbul’a yakın olması ve üst düzey devlet yöneticilerinin bölgede bulunan has gelirlerini kolayca kontrol edebilmesi nedeniyle padişah ve üst düzey devlet yöneticilerinin hasları sancağın toplam hâsılatı içinde önemli bir yekûn teşkil etmiştir. | |
| dc.description.abstract | This paper summarizes the history of Vize from the ancient times to the Ottoman Empire, and systematically examines the fiefs in Vize within the bounds of possibility provided by the tax registers of 1530 and 1568. Furthermore, the tables in this paper detail those who benefited from these fiefs, the types and amounts of fief incomes, and the names of the villages that were at the disposal of the beneficier of the fiefs. This study shows that because of its close proximity to Istanbul that made it easier for the upper level Ottoman bureaucrats to control their revenues, the revenues of sultan, and upper level Ottoman bureaucrats made up a large portion of revenue in Vize. | |
