dc.description.abstract | The aim of this research was to remediate the chrome (Cr) pollution in agriculture areas with canola (Brassica napus L.) plant. For this purpose, a field experiment was done Tekirdag Namik Kemal University Agricultural Faculty Research and Experiment Area in 2011 year, Turkey. Chrome (100mg/kg) as Cr(NO ) , form was applied to the each parcel. Then EDTA chelate was applied to the parcels four doses (0, 5, 10 and 15mmol/kg) in blossom time of plants. The plants were harvested after four months growing. According to the results, root and shoot yield of plants decreased with increasing of EDTA doses. On the other hand, Cr contents of root and shoot of plants increased with increasing EDTA application to the plants. These increases and decreases were found significant statistically at the level of 1 %. According to the experiment results, Cr pollution can be remediated with phytoremediation method in Tekirdag province soils. This experiment was indicated that heavy metal (Cr), whose mobility was been increased by rising amounts of chelate (EDTA) applications, can be removed from soil through phytoremediation method. | |
