Eyyûbîlerdönemi ulemasından İbn Hallikan,Memlükler döneminde önemli vazifeler elde etmiştir. O ilk olarak 1247 tarihinde Kahire kadılkudatı Bedreddin es-Sincarî’nin naibliğini yap-mıştır. İbn Hallikan Dımaşk kadılkudatlığına atanana kadar bu görevi deruhte etmiştir. İbn Hallikan’a kadılık görevinin yanı sıra müderrislik vazifesi de tevdi edilmiş, Adiliye, Nasıriyye, Azraviyye Felekiyye Rükniye ve Behnesiye gibi Dımaşk’ın en önemli medreselerinde görev almış-tır. Eyyûbîler dönemi hükümdarlarından el-Melikü’s-Sâlih Necmüddîn Eyyûb devrinde başlayan vazifesi, el-Melikü’l-Muazzam Turan Şah, Şecerüddür, İzzeddin Aybek et-Türkmânî, II. el-Melikü’l-Eşref Mûsâ, Nureddin Ali, el-Melikü’l-Muzaffer Seyfüddin Kutuz, el-Melikü’z-Zâhir Rüknüddîn Baybars, el-Melikü’s-Saîd Bereke, el-Melikü’l-Âdil Bedreddin Sulamış ve el-Melikü’l-Mansûr Seyfeddin Kalavun’a kadar devam etmiş ve bu dönemde çok önemli tecrübeler edinmiştir. İbn Hallikan aynı zamanda Memlüklü dönemi kadılık uygulamasındaki ilkleri yaşayan birisi ol-muştur. Yeni adli sistem uygulanmaya başlamadan önce de o üç yıl kadılkudat olarak görev yap-mış ve ümera nezdinde oldukça itibar kazanmıştır.
One of the most prominent scholar of Ayyubid’s period, Ibn Khallikan, had fulfilled important works in Memluk’s time. First of all, he had worked as a regent of Qadi al-Qudad of Cairo, Badr al-din al-Sanjary (Muslim judge) in 1247. Ibn Khallikan assumed that work until he had assigned as a Damascus’s Muslim Judge. Beside his duty as Qadi, he also worked as a mudderis in famous Damascus madrassahs as Adiliye, Nasiriyye, Azraviyye, Felekiyye, Rükniye and Behnesiye. His duty which was started in Ayyubi’s Ruler of el- Malik al- Salih Najm al-Din’s pe-riod, continued in the rules of al-Malik al-Muazzam Turan Shah, (Shajar al-Durr, Izz al-din Aybek al-Turkmanı, II. al-Malik al-Ashraf Mousa, Nur al-din Ali, al-Malik al-Muzaffar Sayf al-din Kutuz, al-Malik al-Zâhir Rukn al-dîn Baybars, al-Malik al-Said Baraka, al-malik al-Adil Badr al-din Sulamısh and al-Malik al-Mansûr Sayf al-din Kalawun) and he had gained great experienc-es during this time-period. And he had been also the first to experienced the Memluk’s period Qadiluk practices. Before the new judical system began to be implemented, he had worked as Qadi al-Qudad for 3 years and he was achieved great reputation by the Umera.
