Özet
Hayvan yetiştiriciliğinde optimum performans alınabilmesi ve kaliteli ürünler elde edilebilmesi içinbeslenme davranışlarının dikkate alınması gerekmektedir. Hayvan türleri arasında otlama davranışıbakımından bazı farklılıklar bulunur. Bu farklılıklar hayvanların sindirim sisteminin anatomik yapısı, soyfarklılığı ve çevresel faktörlerine adaptasyonla ilişkilidir. Otlama davranışı merada beslenen hayvanlarınsürüler halinde gerçekleştirdikleri sosyal bir davranıştır. Merada beslenen koyunlar ve keçiler otlamayıgün içinde belli dönemlerde yaparlar. Bu derlemede koyunların ve keçilerin beslenme davranışlarıüzerinde durulmuştur.
Nutritional behaviours of animals need to be considered to achieve optimum performance in animal breeding and to obtain quality products. There are some differences among animal species in the behaviours during grazing. These differences are related to the anatomical structure of the digestive tract of the animals, their lineage diversity and their adaptation to environmental factors. Grazing is a social behaviour performed by the herds that are feeding in the pasture. The sheep and goats fed in pasture do grazing at certain times during the day. In this review, nutritional behaviours of sheep and goats are emphasized.
