Özet
Hyperaccumulative plants will form the basis of phytoremediation, which will be a solution in the removal of soil pollution. The general feature of these plants is that they are slow-growing species that produce biomass. However, the desired plant grows fast and has a good root depth and is a type that easily absorbs and absorbs the target pollutant. The phytoremediation method, which is used for the improvement of contaminated soils, has increased in recent years with the use of hyperacumulative plants. This situation will increase even more in the future. This method needs to identify plants that can adapt to different climatic conditions and different soil properties. On the other hand, it is a necessity to give more importance to the studies of determining hyperacumulative plants to answer the questions of which pollutants these plants and on which parts of the plant they accumulate. In this study, the most used hyperaccumulator families in phytoremediation method and the importance of these plants in the method in the future will be discussed. Because phytoremediation is the most economical method that can be applied to pollution removal in large areas. © 2021 Nova Science Publishers, Inc.
