Data on how buildings are transformed and used throughout human history have survived. From the remains, it is understood that the functions of buildings changed in ancient times during the multifunctional period. The economic inequalities that occur after the changes in the economy, the location and economic values of the buildings cause transformations. In this transformation, the location of the building, its economic value, its continuity and sustainability in the new use are important. This study, which focuses on the use of public and education, deals with the continuity of social life with the continuation of the physical qualities of buildings which have lost their living conditions after development and rapid development. The purpose of this chapter is to establish a system of criteria that scientifically investigates the design and application of the transformation of the new function needed when the building does not conform to the necessity of the spatial organization performing its function. © Peter Lang AG 2019.
