This research was carried out with aiming to determine some quality traits (thousand kernel weight, hectoliter weight, grain largeness ratios, crude protein content and extract content) of 6 barley varieties (two-row; Balkan-96, 5erifehanim-98, Anadolu-98 and six-row; Meriç, Avci-2002, Lord) ) in the growing seasons of 2008-2009 and 2009- 2010 in Samsun (Gelemen) and Amasya (Gökhöyük) locations according to randomized complete block design with four replicates. According to the research conducted in 2 locations for 2years; the highest results of thousand kernel weight were obtained from Anadolu-98 (46.8 g) and Balkan-96 (44.8 g) varieties. The highest grain largeness ratios and extract content were obtained from Balkan-96 (90.1 % and 77.7 % respectively) varietiey. The highest results of hectoliter weight were obtained from Şerifehanim-98 (69.0 kg), Anadolu-98 (68.0 kg) and Balkan-96 (67.6 kg) varieties. In addition, the highest crude protein content was obtained from Lord (13.1 %), Meriç (13.0 %) and Avci- 2002 (12.8 %) varieties. Balkan-96 showed the least crude protein content (11.6 %).
