Abstract
According to the biographical sources Tayyar-zade Ata was born in Istanbul in H.1225 (AC.1810-1811). In the very begining of his early life he started to be educated, and being an officer he served at numerous govermental positions and institutions of the era. He, his father and grandfather were employed as instructor at the palace and Enderun. For this reason he had got much knowledge about Enderun. As a result of erudition, he narrates the Tarih-i Ata which includes overall historical knowledge about Enderun. Being a weighty historical book, this work, especially the 4. and 5. volume, hold the key for the Turkish Literature. Rather known by this work, at the same time he owns a Divan. He has got another separate booklet named Fulku'l-Me'ani fi Medihi's-Sultani which is a small book and announced in resources as written by Tayyar-zade Ata but couldn't be identified so far. This paper aims at introducing this work of the author to science world which is unknown so far. It has got 143 verse and is the only ode that written to praise the Sultan of the era Abdulaziz. He didn't make his meaning plain in the work but in the readers mind it can be raised a feeling that as if he wrote this ode to have a new govermental position. In this study after a brief information about Tayyar-zade Ata and his works, we will examine the Fulku'l-Me'ani and add the full text end of the study.
