Özet
In order to obtain the maxium and the most qualitative product from an unit area, it is necessary to use the soils of the country properly according to its natural quality and competences. Thus, evaluation methods should be chosen according to all properties of lands and by preparing detailed soil maps. In this study, soils of a village land have been evaluated according to complex square root parametric system. When the lands of the Karamehmet village are evaluated with benefited from 1:5000 scale detailed soil maps prepared previously, 75.3% are in a very good class at M1 degree, 15.9% is in a good class at M2 degree. In addition, it was determined that the rest of the study area (8.8%) was covered as a settlement area, the European free trade zone, the highway passing through the village and the areas devoted to various uses. Finally, 91.2% of the village soil were found to have characteristics suitable for the cultivation of most cultivated plants compatible with the region soil properties. Moreover, this study has also emphasised the importance of the productivity index rating with soil characteristics.
