Özet

In this study, the effects of irrigation in different phenologi cal stages of sunflowers on oil contents and fatty acids were investigated. The study was carried out in 2019 in the province of Tekirdag (Thrace region of Turkey). As a result of the study, a 4.5% increase in oil content has occurred compared to the treatment that has non-irrigated. The high oil content was obtained in particular from treatments II (irrigated during vegetative development, flowering, and grain formation) and 15 (irrigated during flowering and grain formation). In the study, the effect of irrigation applied in different stages on the fatty acid content was found statistically insignificant. However, irrigation applied during the flowering caused an increase in oleic acid values and a decrease in linoleic acid amounts. It was concluded as a result of the study that the irrigation applied during the flowering had a positive effect on both the oil content and the amount of oleic acid.
