dc.description.abstractObjective: To determine the clinical practice experiences of students in the elderly care programme. Method: The qualitative study was conducted between 1-26 January 2024. The study was conducted with 35 students enrolled in the autumn semester of the 2023-2024 academic year who had clinical experience for the first time and who volunteered to participate in the study. study. Students were asked to answer the questions in the structured interview form in writing to express their thoughts comfortably. Results: In the study, eight themes were identified: impact and reaction, caring for the elderly makes you feel good, touching people, disconnection in communication, hospital anxiety, fear of loss, learning from my experiences and being visible. It was determined that the students of the Elderly Care programme were happy to practice, and their feelings about the prestige of the programme were affected by the behaviors of the health team in the clinic and the patients they cared for. It was determined that the students defined clinical practice as preparation for work life. Conclusion: It is important that the students should be given the identity of elderly care technician during their education and that the health care members and the community should be informed about program.
dc.description.abstractAmaç: Yaşlı bakımı programı öğrencilerinin klinik uygulama deneyimlerini belirlemektir. Yöntem: Kalitatif nitelikte olan çalışma 1-26 Ocak 2024 tarihleri arasında gerçekleştirildi. Çalışma 2023-2024 akademik yılı güz döneminde kayıtlı, ilk kez klinik deneyimi olan ve çalışmaya gönüllü olarak katılmak isteyen 35 öğrenci ile gerçekleştirildi. Öğrencilerin düşüncelerini rahat bir şekilde ifade etmeleri için yapılandırılmış görüşme formunda yer alan soruları yazılı olarak cevaplamaları istendi. Bulgular: Araştırmada; etki ve tepki, yaşlı ile ilgilenmek iyi hissettirir, insana dokunmak, iletişimde kopukluk, hastane anksiyetesi, kaybetme korkusu, deneyimlerimden öğreniyorum ve görünür olmak olarak sekiz tema belirlendi. Yaşlı Bakımı Programı öğrencilerin; uygulamaya çıkmaktan mutlu oldukları, programın saygınlığına ilişkin duygularının klinikteki sağlık ekibi ile bakım verdikleri hastaların davranışlarından etkilendiği saptandı. Öğrencilerin klinik uygulamaları iş yaşantısına hazırlık olarak tanımladıkları belirlendi. Sonuç: Öğrencilere eğitimleri sürecinde; yaşlı bakım teknikeri kimliğinin kazandırılması ve uygulama alanı birim çalışanlarının ve toplumun yaşlı bakımı programı hakkında bilgilendirilmesi önem taşımaktadır.
