The aim of this study was to determine the effects of linseed and canola seed meal usage on egg shelf life in laying hens. For this purpose, three treatment groups were formed. Dietary treatments were; 1) basal diet based on soybean meal (as a control) 2) containing linseed meal instead of 10% of soybean meal and 3) containing canola meal instead of 10% soybean meal. In the experiment, the eggs obtained from White Super Nick layers at the age of 54 weeks were used. 15 eggs from each treatment group were stored in refrigerated (4°C) and room temperature (22 C) and 55-60% humidity for 3, 7, 10 and 14 days, and egg quality criteria were determined at the end of storage period. During the storage period, the eggs obtained from the hens fed the linseed meal and canola meal were found to maintain their freshness longer than the eggs obtained from the hens fed soybean meal.
