Özet
Geleneksel ve Tamamlayıcı Tıp uygulamaları son yıllarda dünya genelinde ve ülkemizde yoğun talep gören tıbbi uygulamalardandır. Bu uygulamalar genelde koruyucu sağlık hizmetleri, tedavi edici uygulamalar ve estetik amaçlı uygulamaları içermektedir. GETAT uygulamaları dünya genelinde uygulanan ürün ve uygulama yöntemi açısından çeşitlilik göstermektedir. GETAT uygulamalarını ve ürünlerinin sağlıklı değerlendirmesini yapabilmek için daha fazla sayıda bilimsel kanıta ihtiyaç duyulmaktadır. Hekimlerimizin bu uygulamalara olan ilgisinin artması, bu alanlarda eğitim görmesi ve uygulayıcısı olması bu alanda tutulan kayıtların artmasını, bilimsel verilerin toplanmasını ve GETAT uygulamalarının bilimsel kanıta dayalı uygulamalar olmasına katkı sağlayacaktır. Bilimsel kanıtlar da bu uygulamalara olan ön yargılı düşüncelerin değişmesini ve bu uygulamalara olan ilginin artmasını sağlayacaktır. Çalışmamızı Tekirdağ Namık Kemal Üniversitesi Hastanesi asistan hekimleri arasında yaptık. 95'i kadın ve 85'i erkek olmak üzere 180 asistan hekimle 01.05.2022-01.09.2022 tarihleri arasında çalışmamızı tamamladık. Oluşturduğumuz 26 soruluk anket ile asistan hekimlerimizin Geleneksel ve Tamamlayıcı Tıp uygulamalarına olan bilgi, tutum ve davranışlarını öğrenmeye çalıştık. Hekimlerimizin sadece %13' ünün GETAT eğitimi aldığını, ancak %62,2 sinin GETAT uygulamalarının modern tıbba katkı sağladığını düşündüğünü gördük. Sorduğumuz sorularda hekimlerimizin bilgi düzeyi hakkında fikir sahibi olarak GETAT uygulamalarına bakış açılarını tespit etmeye çalıştık. Yaptığımız çapraz karşılaştırmalarda genel anlamda GETAT ile ilgili bilgi düzeyi zayıf olan hekimlerin GETAT yöntemlerin tedavi edici özelliklerine inançlarının diğer gruba göre daha düşük olduğunu, GETAT yöntemleri ile ilgili ön yargılı fikirlere daha çok sahip olduğunu tespit ettik. Hekimlerimizin GETAT uygulamalarını kim yapmalı sorusuna verdiği cevap %68,3 oranında sadece doktorlar olmuştur. Bu uygulamalara olan ilginin arttırılabilmesi için daha çok bilimsel çalışma yapılmalı, daha yaygın ve ulaşılabilir eğitim olanakları oluşturulmalıdır.
Traditional and Complementary Medicine applications are among the medical applications that have been in high demand throughout the world and in our country in recent years. These applications generally include preventive health services, therapeutic applications and aesthetic applications. TCM applications vary in terms of the product and application method applied worldwide. More scientific evidence is needed to make a sound evaluation of TCM applications and products. The increase in the interest of our physicians in these applications, their training in these fields and their practitioners will contribute to the increase in the records kept in this field, the collection of scientific data and the TCM applications to be scientific evidence-based applications; scientific evidence will also change the preconceived notions about these practices and increase the interest in these practices. We conducted our study among the assistant physicians of Tekirdağ Namık Kemal University Hospital. We completed our study between 01.05.2022 and 01.09.2022 with 180 assistant physicians, 95 of whom were female and 85 were male. We tried to learn the interests, attitudes and behaviors of our resident physicians in Traditional and Complementary Medicine practices with the 26-question questionnaire we created. We found that only 13% of our physicians received TCM training, but 62.2% thought that TCM practices contributed to modern medicine. In the questions we asked, we tried to determine the perspectives of our physicians on TCM applications by having an idea about the level of knowledge In our cross-comparisons, we found that physicians with poor knowledge about TCM generally had lower belief in the therapeutic properties of TCM methods than the other group and had more prejudiced thoughts about TCM methods. The answer given by our physicians to the question of who should perform TCM applications was only doctors at a rate of 68.3%. In order to increase the interest in these applications, more scientific studies should be conducted and more widespread and accessible education opportunities should be created.
