Kültürel ekosistem hizmetleri bağlamında rekreasyon ve turizm olanaklarının belirlenmesi: Marmaraereğlisi örneği

Özet
Çevre sorunlarıyla beraber iklim değişikliği, küresel ısınma, hızlı nüfus artışı ve Covid-19 salgını gibi küresel olaylar nedeniyle tüm dünya ekolojik, sosyal ve ekonomik açıdan etkilenmiş, ekosistem sağlığının önemi ortaya çıkmıştır. Ekosistem hizmetlerinin belirlenmesi, insan refahı için faydalarının değerlendirilmesi, arazi kullanım stratejilerine entegre edilerek mekânsal dağılımının haritalanması, halkın talepleri çerçevesinde yönetişim yaklaşımıyla karar verme süreçlerine entegre edilmesi ekosistemlerin sürdürülebilirliğinin sağlanması açısından önem taşımaktadır. Ekosistemlerin maddi olmayan faydaları olan kültürel ekosistem hizmetleri son yıllarda farklı bağlamlarda araştırılmakta, bütüncül ve objektif yaklaşımlarla değerlendirilmesine ihtiyaç bulunmaktadır. Çalışmada Marmaraereğlisi'nin (Perinthos Antik Kenti) kültürel ekosistem hizmetleri bağlamında rekreasyon turizm olanaklarının belirlenerek kent halkının yaşam kalitesinin arttırılması, kültürel ekosistem hizmetleri yaklaşımının mekânsal planlarla bütünleştirilmesi, yerel ve ulusal düzeyde planlamaya dahil edilmesine yönelik kuramsal çerçevenin oluşturulması, geliştirilecek önerilerle karar vericilere, uygulayıcılara rehber ve yapılacak planlara altlık oluşturulması amaçlanmaktadır. Farklı arazi örtülerinin sunmuş olduğu ekosistem hizmetleri ve öncelikleri ekosistem matrisi yöntemine dayalı uzman görüşleri çerçevesinde değerlendirilmiş, kültürel ekosistem hizmetleri en yüksek puanı almıştır. Kullanıcı algılarına ilişkin anketlerde rekreasyon ve turizm hizmeti en yüksek puan ile değerlendirilen kültürel ekosistem hizmeti olarak belirlenmiştir. Kültürel ekosistem hizmetleri bağlamında rekreasyon ve turizm amaçlı kullanımlara uygun alanlar ve olanaklar belirlenerek, rekreasyon ve turizme yönelik kullanıcıların talep ve eğilimleri ortaya konulmuştur. Elde edilen veriler coğrafi bilgi sistemleri (CBS) kullanılarak haritalanmıştır.
The whole world has been affected ecologically, socially and economically due to global events such as climate change, global warming, rapid population growth and the Covid-19 pandemic, and the importance of ecosystem health has emerged. Identifying ecosystem services, evaluating their benefits for human welfare, mapping their spatial distribution by integrating them into land use strategies, and integrating them into decision-making processes with a governance approach within the framework of public demands are important for ensuring the sustainability of ecosystems. Cultural ecosystem services, which are non-material benefits of ecosystems, have been researched in different contexts in recent years, and there is a need to evaluate them with holistic and objective approaches. It is aimed to increase the quality of life of the city people by determining the recreation tourism opportunities of Marmaraereğlisi (Perinthos Ancient City) in the context of cultural ecosystem services, to integrate the cultural ecosystem services approach with spatial plans, to establish the theoretical framework for the inclusion of cultural ecosystem services approach in planning at local and national level, to guide decision makers and practitioners with the suggestions to be developed and to provide a basis for the plans to be made. Ecosystem services and priorities offered by different land covers were evaluated within the framework of expert opinions based on the matrix method, and cultural services received the highest score. In the surveys on user perceptions, recreation and tourism services were determined as the cultural services with the highest score. In the context of cultural ecosystem services, areas and opportunities suitable for recreation and tourism purposes were identified, and the demands and trends of users for recreation and tourism were revealed. The data obtained were mapped using geographical information systems (GIS).
