Özet
Throughout centuries, people have shaped ecosystems in terrestrial biosphere with their activities, whether intentionally or not. Generally, with the start of the Anthropocene in the eighteenth century, the influence of this process became more evident, and it led to the emergence of the concept of anthromes (anthropogenic biomes or human biomes) based on the idea of making the analysis of the new human-created anthropogenic ecosystems easier. In this way, highly important clues can be obtained about the modification of classic biomes by the human intervention. This study is an attempt to detect and map the current anthromes in Tekirdag province. Anthropogenic classification developed by Anthromes Working Group was employed in this study. The current anthrome classes in Tekirdag province and what kind of a distribution they have constitute the main research questions of the study. The study also employs materials such as thematic maps from various dates prepared by various organizations. GIS (Geographical Information Systems) techniques were also applied in the study. In the end, the current classes of anthromes map of Tekirdag province was prepared.
