Özet
Nazal kavite yerleşimli yabancı cisimler yaygın olmamakla birlikte diğer bölgelerdeki yabancı cisimlere oranla uzun süre semptom vermeden kalabilmektedirler. 22 yaşında erkek hasta çocukluktan itibaren burnunda kötü koku ve nefes almada zorluk nedeniyle polikliniğimize başvurdu. Paranazal Tomografi de sol nazal kaviteyi tamamen kapatan, yabancı cisim tespit edildi. Forseps yardımıyla yabancı cisim (kablo) parça parça çıkartıldı. Tek taraflı pürülan akıntı, hava yolunda darlık, kütü koku, ağız kokusu, kronik sinüzit gibi şikayetleri olan hastalarda yabancı cisim olabileceği göz önünde bulundurulmalıdır ve tespit edildiğinde hemen çıkarılmalıdır.
Although foreign bodies retained in the nasal cavity are not common, they can remain asymptomatic for longer periods when compared to foreign bodies retained in the other body parts. A 22-year-old male patient presented to our outpatient clinic with complaints of an unpleasant smell in the nose and difficulty breathing. Paranasal computerized tomography revealed a foreign body occupying the entire nasal cavity. The foreign body (wire) was removed in pieces using a forceps. The presence of a foreign body should be suspected in cases with unilateral purulent discharge, narrowing in the airway, unpleasant smell, halitosis, and chronic sinusitis, and the foreign body should be removed as soon as it is recognized.
