A pot experiment was conducted under the laboratory conditions according to randomized plot experimental design with five replications by applying different doses of urban waste compost (garbage) into pots grown corn plant (Mays lacasta). Dry weight of roots changed between 2.830 and 4.110 g while dry weights of above ground part of plant was changing between 4.123 and 7.270 g. The highest dry weight of under and aboveground parts were achieved by Ç1 application (0.5 t ha-1 ) as 4.110 and 7.270 g, respectively. Under Ç1 application, root length changed between 20.90 and 23.56 g while above ground length was changing between 35.37 and 40.69 g. The highest root and above ground lengths were achieved by Ç2 application when compared to other applications (1.0 t ha-1 ). Lead concentrations of root and aboveground part of corn plant were calculated as 1.540-13.367 g and 1.150- 22.200 g respectively while cobalt concentrations of root and aboveground part of plant were 0.733-6.643 g and 1.097-5.033 g respectively. Cadmium concentrations of root and aboveground part of plant were determined as 0.863-9.467 and 1.203-13.333 respectively. The highest lead, cobalt and cadmium concentrations of both root and aboveground part of plant were achieved by Ç3 application (1.5 t ha-1 ). In general, the root and aboveground dry weight values were affected mostly by Ç1 application while the length values of the root and aboveground part were affected by Ç2 application.
