Mustafa Kemal Pasha, who fought his first war against imperialism on the Tripoli Front, and whose appearance on the stage of history coincided with the Battle of Gallipoli, began to be recognized in the international arena thanks to his outstanding success in the First World War. At a time when the Ottoman Empire, which lost the war, was in despair and surrendered to the occupation ambitions of the Entente States, a young commander whose star had just shone, took all responsibility and embarked on activities that would change the fate of a nation. Mustafa Kemal Pasha, who returned to Istanbul with the loss of the First World War and made various attempts for about six months, was determined to change the course of history with his ideas and what he wanted to do in the process when the Ottoman State administrators desperately accepted what would happen. Mustafa Kemal Pasha, who started his activities in Istanbul by trying peaceful ways, resorted to different searches when he could not reach his goal. Mustafa Kemal Pasha, whose attempts to intervene in the Istanbul Government in various ways failed, aimed to cross into Anatolia and start a resistance from Anatolia against the invading and surrendering forces. The ultimatum given to the Ottoman Empire in April 1919 by the Allied Powers, which aimed to occupy the strategic places in the Ottoman lands, also opened the door of a new era. Mustafa Kemal Pasha, who turned these developments in the Ottoman Empire in their favor and at the same time, managed to form a team with people who thought like him and saw resistance against occupation as the only way of salvation, with the step he took at Samsun Port on 19 May, he succeeded in lighting the spark that will lead the Turkish nation to independence.
