Özet
Bu çalışmanın ana amacı 1973 Genel Seçimleri öncesi ve sonrasında yaşanan politik olayların bir analizini yaparak, o dönemin Türkiye’de kentsel siyaset ve adem-i merkeziyetçilik açısından ne tür etkileri olduğunu açıklamaktır. Günümüz Türkiye siyasetinde sol partilerin tek başına iktidara gelememe sorununun temelleri o dönemde atılmış olabilir mi? Bu da yine çalışma çerçevesince yanıt aranacak sorulardan biridir. Çalışma bağlamında Türkiye’de kentsel siyasetin ve yerelleşmenin tam da önem kazanmaya başladığı bir dönem olan yetmişli yılların, nasıl olup da bir anda Türkiye’nin yerelleşmesi ve Türkiye’de kentsel siyasetin güçlenmesi adına bir dönüm noktasına dönüştüğünü ve Türkiye’nin bu dönemeçte nasıl tökezlediğinin altı çizilecektir.
The purpose of this study is to make a short analyze the political events happened in the before and after periods of the 1973 General Elections in Turkey. Another purpose is to explain what kind of effects are there in that time period in terms of urban politics and decentralization. “Is it possible to find the reasons why the left parties could not come to power in Turkey?” is also a research question of this study. The 1970s was the beginning of gaining importance of urban politics and decentralization. Within the scope of this study, how is this period turned to an important milestone in terms of decentralization and urban politics in Turkish politics will be underlined?
