dc.description.abstractDünyada gelişmiş ve gelişmekte olan ülkelerde çevresel problemler uluslararası genel bir sorun haline gelmiş ve ortak çözüm yolları arayışına girilmiştir. Ancak her ülkenin sahip olduğu kaynaklar, uyguladıkları kalkınma politikaları ve bu alanda gösterdikleri faaliyetler birbirinden farklılık göstermektedir. Sürdürülebilir kalkınma farklılıklarını ortak paydada buluşturmak doğal çevreyi ve sosyal eşitliği koruyan ve geliştiren ekonomik, sosyal kalkınma türlerini kapsamaktadır. Bu tanım ekolojik, ekonomik ve sosyal üç temel yönün olduğunu açıklamaktadır. Her bir birey, gelecek için sürdürülebilir ve güvenli bir çevre sağlanmasına katkıda bulunabilmek için kişisel tüketimlerini gözden geçirmelidir. Bireyin faaliyetleri sonucu oluşturulan bir ürünün yaşam evresi boyunca doğrudan ya da dolaylı bir şekilde biriktirdiği karbondioksit emisyonlarının toplamı karbon ayak izini oluşturmaktadır. Bu çalışmada Trakya'da bulunan bir öğrenci yurdu örnek alınarak yurda ait karbon ayak izinin hesabının yapılması sürdürülebilirlik ekseninde incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Karbon ayak izi hesabı için GHG (Sera Gazı Protokolü) protokolünün açık kaynakları kullanılmıştır. Karbon ayak izi tespitinde toplam elektrik enerjisi tüketimi, ısınma değerleri, personelin ve öğrencilerin günlük ulaşım değerleri, personelin kullandığı araçların yakıt türleri gibi ana veriler kullanılmıştır.
dc.description.abstractEnvironmental problems have become a general international problem in developed and developing countries in the world and common solutions have been sought. However, the resources that each country has, the development policies they implement and the activities they show in this field differ from each other. Bringing together sustainable development differences on a common ground covers the types of economic and social development that protect and improve the natural environment and social equality. This definition explains that there are three basic aspects: ecological, economic and social. Each individual should review their personal consumption in order to contribute to the provision of a sustainable and safe environment for the future. The carbon footprint is the sum of the carbon dioxide emissions that are directly or indirectly accumulated during the life cycle of a product created as a result of the activities of the individual. In this study, it is aimed to take a student dormitory in Thrace as an example and to calculate the carbon footprint of the dormitory and to examine it on the axis of sustainability. The open sources of the GHG (Greenhouse Gas Protocol) protocol were used for the carbon footprint calculation. In the determination of carbon footprint, main data such as total electrical energy consumption, heating values, daily transportation values of personnel and students, fuel types of vehicles used by personnel were used.
