In landscape planning, optimal land use targeting ecological protection needs to be determined and maintained precisely in order to make correct and effective resource management and plan decisions. The basic principle of sustainability is to conduct land use compliance analysis. Land conformity analysis is a complex process in which various criteria are evaluated. The main purpose of land conformity analyses is to estimate the natural capacity of the land unit and to support certain land uses in the long run without deterioration. Land conformity analysis is an interdisciplinary approach and a dynamic process governed by economic and social conditions. Geographic information systems (GIS) has developed very rapidly due to the developments in the world of technology and information and has many different usage areas. GIS, which is very effective in reaching sensitive and accurate information in the rapidly developing world, has many usage areas, although not at the desired level. GIS is generally defined as collecting, storing, querying, transferring, viewing and analysing data of a geographical region for a specific purpose. GIS technologies are one of the most frequently used tools especially in field usage planning studies. In this study, it is aimed to determine the optimum use of suggestion area by means of GIS in order to prevent the wrong decisions and uncertainties about the rational use of the resources in Turkey and the environment in Tekirdag which has not lost its natural qualities yet. By comparing the past and current situations of land use, planning and environmental practices, it is aimed to produce sensitive and accurate information in terms of determining their protection and usage on resources.
