Abstract
‘‘Güncel Sanatta Bir İfade Aracı Olarak Kolaj’’ isimli bu çalışmada, 20. yüzyıldan itibaren gelişim gösteren kolaj, farklı birikimlere ait sanatçılar üzerinden incelenmiştir. Bu bağlamda, kolajı sanat hayatının önemli bir olgusu haline getiren sanatçıların özgün çalışmalarına yer verilmiştir. Çalışmanın birinci bölümünde, kolajın sanat tarihindeki ilk kullanımı ve tarihsel gelişimi, farklı sanatçı örnekleri üzerinden ele alınmıştır. İlk kullanımları 15. yüzyıla kadar uzansa da sanat tarihine en belirgin şekilde Kübizm akımıyla girdiği görülmüştür. Daha sonrasında Fovizm akımının öncülerinden Henri Matisse’le ivme kazandığı, Sürrealizm, Dadaizm ve Pop Art akımlarıyla altın çağını yaşadığı vurgulanmıştır. İkinci bölümde, soyut sanatın tüm dünyayı etkisi altına almaya başlamasıyla kolajın soyut sanat içinde kendine özgü bir dil oluşturduğuna ve sadece bir teknik olarak anılmaktan kurtulduğuna yer verilmiştir. 1940 sonrasında üretilen kolajların genellikle dışavurumcu bir etkiye sahip olduğu ve savaş sonrasında tamamen değişen dünyanın travmatik izlerini taşıdığı ortaya konulmuştur. Üçüncü bölümde, kolajın Türk resim sanatıyla ilişkisi, Burhan Doğançay, Özdemir Altan ve Bahar Kocaman gibi birbirinden farklı üsluptaki sanatçıların 2000 sonrası üretimlerine dayanarak incelenmiştir. Dördüncü bölümde, kolajın günümüz sanatında kendi başına bir ifade biçimine dönüştüğü ve sadece bir teknik olarak anılmaktan kurtulduğu, Sergei Sviatchenko, Jazoo Yang, İrfan Önürmen, Daniel Otero Torres ve Karin Olah gibi farklı kökenlere sahip güncel sanatçılar üzerinden açıklanmıştır. Kolajın, günümüze dair problemleri konu aldığı ve sanatçının hayatına, kimliğine, cinsiyetine, deneyimlerine ve savunduğu düşünce biçimlerine göre şekillendiği görülmüştür
In this study called ‘‘Collage As a Way of Expression in Contemporary Art’’, the collage, which has been developing since the 20th century, has been examined through artists from different backgrounds. In this context, the original artworks of the artists, who make the collage an important part of their art production, are included. In the first part of the study, the historical development of the collage technique and it’s first usage in the art history are discussed through different artist examples. Although the first usage of the collage dates back to the 15th century, it has been observed that it entered the history of art in the most specific way with the Cubism movement. It was later emphasized that collage gained momentum with the Henri Matisse who pioneers of the Fovism movement, and lived the golden age with Surrealism, Dadaism and Pop Art movements. In the second part, with the abstract art movement started to affect the art world, the collage creates a unique language within the abstract art and it got rid of being only a technique. It was revealed that the collages produced after 1940 had an expressive effect and carried traumatic traces of the world, which changed completely after the war. In the third part, the relationship of the collage with Turkish painting art was examined based on the post-2000 production of artists of different styles such as Burhan Doğançay, Özdemir Altan and Bahar Kocaman. In the fourth chapter, it is explained by contemporary artists of different origins such as Sergei Sviatchenko, Jazoo Yang, İrfan Önürmen, Daniel Otero Torres and Karin Olah, where the collage has become a way of expression in today's art. It has been seen that the collage contains today's problems and is shaped according to the artist's life, identity, gender, experience and different ways of thinking.
