Nowadays, the number of eminentia fractures due to sports injuries and car accidents is increasing, and they are becoming as common in adults as in children. These fractures are considered equivalent to ACL ruptures in many respects. In the current literature, it is known that patients with ACL rupture have balance problems after reconstruction, but there is no balance study regarding eminentia fractures. Therefore, we compared patients who underwent surgery due to eminentia fractures, patients who underwent ACL reconstruction, and healthy volunteers in terms of balance measurement results and functional scores. A total of 25 patients were selected, including 3 females and 19 males in the Eminentia group, 4 females and 21 males in the ACL group, and 2 females and 23 males in the healthy volunteers group. Korebalance® Premiere-22 balance measurements were performed for all three groups. In addition, functional scoring was performed for all three groups. In addition, preoperative-postoperative balance and functional scores of the ACL group were compared. It was observed that eminentia fractures, like ACL ruptures, had worse results in terms of balance compared to healthy individuals. Especially single-leg static measurements were found to be statistically significantly worse. İt was observed that the surgical knee with intact ACL was affected at the same level as the knee with eminentia fracture in terms of balance. It was found that the ACL had better scores in terms of balance compared to before the operation, but significantly worse compared to healthy individuals. Functional scores were acceptable in both the Eminentia and ACL groups, but were lower compared to healthy individuals. Additionally, there was a significant improvement in functional scores in the ACL group before and after surgery.
