dc.description.abstractIn the study, the course of social protection expenditures between 2000-2019 was examined in Turkey. In this context, the data were gained from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).The reason why the study took the year 2000 as the main starting year is owing to the fact that the statistics on social protection expenditures could be accessed through TUIK after 2000. The study's main goal is to examine the course and evolution of social protection spending in Turkey over a 19-year period using graphics made from the data. Therefore, social expenditures in Turkey have increased steadily over the years and social protection expenditures constituted 98.4 percent of total expenditures. The study also focused on the pandemic process and deal with the developmental course of social expenditures. In this situation, another focus of the study is to demonstrate some future evaluations in line with the aid made in the post-Covid-19 pandemic period.
dc.description.abstractÇalışmada 2000-2019 yılı arasında sosyal koruma harcamalarının seyri Türkiye özelinde incelenmiştir. Bu kapsamda veriler Türkiye İstatistik Kurumu’ndan (TÜİK) elde edilmiştir. Çalışmanın 2000 yılını esas başlangıç yılı olarak almasının sebebi sosyal koruma harcamaları ile ilgili istatistiklere TÜİK üzerinden 2000 yılı sonrasında erişimin sağlanabilmesinden kaynaklanmaktadır. Burada elde edilen verilerden oluşturulmuş grafiklerle 19 yıllık bir dönem için Türkiye’de sosyal koruma harcamalarının seyrini ve gelişimini incelemek çalışmanın ana gayesidir. Buna göre Türkiye’de sosyal harcamalar yıllar içerisinde bir artış trendinde olup sosyal harcamaların %98.4’ünü sosyal koruma harcamaları oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmada ayrıca pandemi sürecine de odaklanılarak sosyal harcamaların gelişim seyri incelenmiştir. Bu bağlamda çalışmanın bir diğer odak noktası da Covid-19 pandemisi sonrası süreçte yapılan yardımlar doğrultusunda geleceğe yönelik kimi değerlendirmelerin ortaya konulmasıdır.
