Özet
Among mosquito-borne diseases; malaria, dengue fever, Japanese encephalitis, West Nile disease, yellow fever, chikungunya and Zika virus infection are noteworthy. These diseases, which are spread by mosquitoes, were previously isolated geographically, but have spread globally in the globalizing world. In order to limit the spread in these patients, who are often given symptomatic and supportive treatment in the clinic, it is important to take a more comprehensive patient history and perform a detailed physical examination. Effective vaccines against the virus remain the front line of defense for these diseases. Although an effective vaccine has been used to prevent yellow fever infection by travelers traveling to endemic areas since the mid-20th century, the agent is still widely seen around the world. For this reason, people who go to risky geographical areas should also use sprays effective against the carrier vector and pay attention to their clothing choices. In addition, a real-time PCR test (RT-PCR) performed with virus-specific primers and probes targeting the causative virus can be used in the diagnosis of vector-borne Zikavirus (ZIKV), dengue fever virus (DENV), chikungunya virus (CHIKV) and yellow fever virus (YFV), which are common all over the world. © 2022 by Nova Science Publishers, Inc.
