| dc.description.abstract | It has been observed that natural disasters, climate change, economic uncertainty, social turmoil, and pandemics that are difficult to predict in the world have been experienced more in recent decades. All these conditions have triggered extreme poverty conditions finalized by hunger and food crises around the world. This chapter focuses on the food security politics in sudden crises. Food security, which includes all processes starting from the production and supply stage to the point of consumption, is a global problem. The COVID-19 pandemic caused sudden and unexpected crises and influenced the food insecurity debate. Another sudden crisis that also affected the food area is the current Russia and Ukraine war. Disasters such as earthquakes and floods also cause production losses in agricultural areas. This whole process adds to the discussion of the concept of resilience, which stands out in different disciplines.
