| dc.description.abstract | The literary work called myth has been alive through centuries and its effects can still be on the eyes of the writers. The importance of the myth is therefore given in this work; moreover, the definition of myth is given by various writers whose aim is to specialize the concept of the myth. The myth of Theseus is explained and the mythemes found or referred in the myth are being disclosed. The contemporary works displaying roles of myths can be authentic and related at the same time. The motifs, the mythemes, the character traits and the heroic quests can be presented in other literary works to show the importance of the mythical aspects. Thus, this work focuses on a postmodern play in which the myth of Theseus is presented. A postmodern work, Mercury Fur, bearing the postmodern conditions, is discussed under the circumstances of the mythical aspects such as the stages, the characters, the motifs, and the mythemes that are indicated in the myth of Theseus. | |
| dc.description.abstract | Edebi tür olan efsane yüzyıllar boyunca canlıydı ve etkileri hala yazarlar tarafından gözlenebilir. Bu yüzden efsanenin önemi bu çalışmada verildi; dahası, Amacı efsane konseptini özelleştirmek olan çeşitli yazarlar tarafından efsanenin tanımı yapıldı. Theseus efsanesi açıklandı ve efsanede bulunan veya bahsedilen mini temalar ortaya çıkarıldı. Efsanelerin rollerini açığa çıkaran çağdaş çalışmalar özgün ve aynı zamanda bağlantılı olabilirler. Motifler, mini temalar, karakter özellikleri ve kahraman maceraları, efsanevi yönlerin önemini göstermek adına başka edebi çalışmalarda gösterilebilir. Böylelikle, bu çalışma içeriğinde Theseus efsanesinin gösterildiği postmodern oyuna odaklıdır. Bir postmodern çalışması olan ve postmodern koşullarını taşıyan Mercury Fur Theseus efsanesinde gösterilen evreler, karakterler, motifler, ve mini temalar gibi efsanevi yönler kapsamı altında tartışılmıştır. | |
