Özet

Advanced oxidation processes (AOPs) are a class of chemical treatments, characterized by the production of hydroxyl radicals, powerful and non-selective produce oxidants capable of degrading a wide range of organic compounds. The application of AOPs for leather tannery wastewater treatment has gained a growing interest in the last decades. However, several constraints to full-scale applications remain still unsolved. This chapter reports and discusses recent studies dealing with the treatment of leather tannery wastewater by AOPs. © 2025 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
