dc.description.abstractBu araştırmanın amacı, yeni doğan buzağılarda süt ve süt ikame yemi kullanımının, canlı ağırlık performansı ve bağışıklık sistemi üzerindeki etkilerini belirlemektir. Araştırmanın hayvan materyalini, Niğde İli Bor İlçesi'nde 600 Holstein sağmal ineğe sahip Uzmanlar Tarım işletmesinde yeni doğan Holstein buzağılar oluşturmuştur. Çalışmada, 5 Ekim-31 Aralık 2023 tarihi arasında doğan dişi ve erkek toplam 38 baş buzağı kullanılmıştır. Kontrol ve deneme olarak iki grup oluşturulmuş her grupta 19 baş buzağı (8 erkek, 11 dişi) yer almıştır. Araştırmanın yem materyalini, işletmedeki tam yağlı süt, süt ikame yemi (SİY), yonca kuru otu ve buzağı başlangıç yemleri oluşturmuştur. Deneme süresince buzağıların önünde sürekli olarak pelet formda buzağı başlangıç yemi, yonca kuru otu ve taze su bulundurulmuştur. SİY grubunun toplam canlı ağırlığı ve canlı ağırlık artışı, kontrol grubundan önemli düzeyde yüksek olduğu bulunmuştur. Yeni doğan buzağıların serumlarında % briks değerleri, kontrol ve SİY gruplarında sırasıyla %10,47; %10,11 bulunurken, 70. gün ise sırasıyla %3,53; %4,16 olarak bulunmuştur. Gruplar arasındaki maliyet incelendiğinde, kaliteli süt ikame yemleri ile yapılan büyütmenin tam yağlı sütle beslemeye göre çok daha ekonomik olduğu görülmektedir. Deneme başı ve deneme sonu yapılan maliyet analizlerinde, bu oran %7,76 ile %9,85 arasında daha karlı görünmektedir. Araştırmada, yeni doğan buzağılara süt yerine SİY kullanımının canlı ağırlık performansına ve bağışıklık sistemi üzerine olumlu etkiler sağladığı belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca, buzağı kayıplarının azaltılmasında etkili olduğu görülmüştür. Süt fiyatlarının yüksek olduğu dönemlerde SİY kullanımıtercih edilebilir.
dc.description.abstractThe aim of this study is to determine the effects of milk and milk replacer feed usage on live weight performance and the immune system in newborn calves. The animal material for the study consisted of newborn Holstein calves from the Uzmanlar Agricultural Enterprise, which has 600 Holstein dairy cows, located in the Bor District of Niğde Province. A total of 38 calves (19 male and 19 female) born between October 5 and December 31, 2023, were used in the study. Two groups were formed: a control group and a treatment group, each consisting of 19 calves (8 males, 11 females). The feed material for the study included whole milk, milk replacer (MR), alfalfa hay, and starter feeds for calves. During the trial, starter calf feed in pellet form, alfalfa hay, and fresh water were continuously provided in front of the calves. The total live weight and weight gain of the MR group were found to be significantly higher than those of the control group. The % Brix values in the serum of the newborn calves were recorded as %10,47 and %10,11 for the control and MR groups, respectively, and on the 70th day, they were %3,53 and %4,16 . When examining the costs between the groups, it was observed that growth using quality milk replacer feeds was much more economical than feeding with whole milk. Cost analyses conducted at the beginning and end of the trial indicated that this ratio appeared to be between %7,76 and %9,85 more profitable. The study determined that using MR instead of milk for newborn calves has positive effects on live weight performance and the immune system. Additionally, it was found to be effective in reducing calf losses. In periods of high milk prices, the use of MR may be preferred.
