dc.description.abstract1945 sonrası uluslararası sistemde iki kutuplu sistemin varlığı birçok gelişmeye neden olmuş ve bu iki kutuptan birine dahil olmak isteyen diğer ülkeler farklı politikalar belirlemiştir. Bu ülkelerden birisi de Türkiye'dir. Türkiye, uluslararası sistemde var olmak için ve tehditlerden korunmak için bu iki kutuptan birisine katılmıştır. Bunun sebebi Türkiye'nin Orta Büyüklükte Devlet olmasıdır. Türkiye'nin dahil olduğu kutup ise Batı Bloku ülkesi olan Amerika Birleşik Devletleri (ABD)'dir. ABD ise düşmanı Sovyet Sosyalist Cumhuriyetler Birliği (SSCB) karşısında daha etkili konuma geçmek için kendine Eksen bir ülke olan Türkiye'yi seçmiştir. Ayrıca Türkiye'nin SSCB'den ulusal güvenlik sorunları algılaması Türkiye'yi ABD blokuna iten faktörlerden biridir. Bu tez de Türkiye'nin çok partili sisteme geçmesinin en büyük nedeni olan 1945 sonrası sistemsel ve siyasal gelişmeler değerlendirilecektir. Bu değerlendirme Orta Büyüklükte Devlet, Eksen Ülke ve Ulusal Güvenlik kavramları etrafında şekillenmiştir. Bu tez de iddia edilen konu, Türkiye'nin Orta Büyüklükte Bir Devlet olması nedeniyle; yeni oluşan uluslararası sistem de yalnız kalmamak ve algıladığı tehditler sunucunda çok partili siteme geçmesidir. dc.description.abstractAfter 1945, the existence of a bipolar system in the international system caused many developments and other countries that wanted to be included in one of these two poles determined different policies. One of these countries is Turkey. Turkey has joined one of these two poles in order to exist in the international system and be protected from threats. The reason for this is that Turkey is a Medium-Sized State. The pole that Turkey is included in is the United States of America (USA), a Western Bloc country. The USA, on the other hand, chose Turkey, an Axis country, in order to take a more effective position against its enemy, the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR). In addition, Turkey's perception of national security problems from the USSR is one of the factors that pushes Turkey to the USA bloc. In this thesis, the systemic and political developments after 1945, which are the biggest reason for Turkey's transition to a multi-party system, will be evaluated. This evaluation is shaped around the concepts of Medium-Sized State, Axis Country and National Security. The issue claimed in this thesis is that since Turkey is a medium-sized state; it was not kept in the multi-party system in order not to be alone in the newly formed international system and in terms of the threats it perceived.
