Ageing is a slow but lifelong process that involves changes in all structures and functions of the body. In addition to chronic diseases that lead to disability and death in old age, multifactorial syndromes that do not fall into organ-related disease categories are also common. It is essential to manage the health problems of the rapidly growing elderly population around the world and to maximize their health and quality of life. On the other hand, the medical, economic, social and political challenges associated with meeting this demand are problems that every developed or developing country is trying to address. © 2023 by Nova Science Publishers, Inc.
