Özet
Bu tez dört bölümden oluşmaktadır. Giriş bölümünde, matematiğin diğer disiplinlerle olan ilişkisi ele alınmıştır. Birinci bölümde model ve modelleme kavramları ile biyolojiye katkı sağlamış bazı matematiksel çalışmalar üzerinde durulmuştur. İkinci bölümde, günümüzde uygulanan bazı biyolojik modeller incelenmiştir. Reaksiyon-difüzyon modeli ve hastalık modellerini analiz ederken karmaşık olan yapıyı anlamak için kullanılan modellerden beyin tümörü modeli ve böbrek taşı modeli ele alınmıştır. Son kısımda da sonuç ve öneriler verilmiştir.
This thesis consists of four parts. In the introduction, the relation of mathematics to other disciplines is discussed. In the first chapter, some mathematical studies that have contributed to biology by model and modeling concepts have been emphasized. In the second chapter, some biological models applied today are examined. In analyzing the reaction-diffusion model and disease models, the brain tumor model and the kidney stone model are used to understand what is complex. In the last part, conclusions and suggestions are given.
