Özet
Araştırma, a)iki koltuk durumu; koltukların 3-5cm iken tümden çıkarılması veya koltuklarda iki yaprak üzerinden uç alma yapılması b)üç salkım sayısı; 3, 4 ve 5 c)üç salkımda meyve sayısı; 4, 5 ve 6 olmak üzere, budama uygulamalarının, ilkbahar-yaz dönemi sera domates yetiştiriciliğinde verim, meyve kalitesi ve erkencilik üzerine etkilerini araştırmak üzere Bölümümüze ait PE serada gerçekleştirilmiştir. Koltuk sürgünlerinin 3-5cm uzunluğunda iken alınması toplam ve erkenci verimi artırırken, koltuk sürgünlerinde iki yaprak üzerinden uç alma uygulaması tek meyve ağırlığı ve meyve çapını olumlu etkilemiştir. Üç salkımlı bitkilerin bitki başına erkenci verimleri istatistikî olarak yüksek olurken 5 salkımlıların hem toplam hem de erkenci verimleri yüksek olmuştur. Salkımda meyve seyreltmesinin toplam ve erkenci verim yanında tek meyve ağırlığını da olumlu etkilediği görülmüştür. Toplam ve erkenci verim üzerine üç faktörün birlikte etkisine göre, en yüksek toplam ve erkenci verimler koltuk sürgünlerinin 3-5cm uzunluğunda iken alındığı 5 salkımlı ve salkımda 4 meyve bulunan bitkilerden sağlanmıştır.
An experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of a)side shoot pruning: either removing when shoots were 3-5cm long or topped to leave two leaves on the shoot b)truss number/per plant: plants were topped to leave 3, 4 or 5 truss/plant c)number of fruit per plant: fruits were thinned to leave 4, 5 or 6 fruit/truss on yield, earliness and fruit quality of beef type tomato (cv. Jumbo F1) grown in PE tunnel in spring-summer growing period. Side shoot removal, when shoots 3-5cm long, increased total and early yield while pinching of side shoots back to leave two leaves improved fruit quality. While plants with three trusses had the highest early yield, plants with five trusses had the highest both in total and early yield. Fruit removal had a positive effect on total, early and individual fruit yield and the highest yields were observed with plants with four fruit per truss. It was concluded that, according to combining effect of three factors involved in this experiment, side shoot removing, when shoots 3-5cm long along with five trusses per plant and fruit thinning to four fruit per truss had highest total and early yield.
