Toplumsal Değişme ve Anaokulu İhtiyacı

Abstract

Eğitimin her aşaması oldukça önemlidir. Ancak anaokulları okulhayatının ilk basamağı olması, çocuğun fiziksel ve zihinsel gelişimininhızlandığı dönem olması, bu dönem verilen eğitimin çocuğun geleceğinişekillendirir nitelikte olması, çocukluk yıllarında kazanılandavranışların büyük bir kısmının yetişkinlikte bireyin değer yargılarınıve kişilik yapısını, biçimlendirmesi hasebiyle ayrıca önem arzetmektedir. Anaokullarının bahsedilen sebeplerden dolayı önemi vegerekliliği aşikardır. İlaveten sosyolojik bir perspektifle başka birgereklilik alanı da yaşanan toplumsal değişim ile olan ilintisidir. Şöyleki; ekonomik ve sosyal hayatta meydana gelen çeşitli toplumsaldeğişmeler anaokullarının dünyada ve ülkemizde giderekyaygınlaştırarak önemini arttırmıştır. Özellikle kadının çalışma hayatınagirmesi ile statüsünün değişmesi, aile yapısındaki dönüşüm, kentleşmeve fırsat eşitliğine verilen önemin artması ile ebeveynler çocuklarınıanaokuluna daha çok göndermeye başlamıştır. Bu sebeple bu çalışmabahsedilen toplumsal değişme kategorileri ile anaokulu ihtiyacınıanlatmak amacı ile hazırlanmıştır.Bu çalışmada toplamda 12 kişi ile yarı yapılandırılmış görüşmeformu aracılığıyla derinlemesine görüşmeler yapılmıştır. Katılımcılarınaltısı öğretmen, altısı ebeveyndir. Görüşmeler gönüllük esası ilegerçekleştirilmiştir. Görüşmelerin analizinde nitel araştırmalardakullanılan MAXQDA nitel araştırma tekniğinden faydalanılmıştırAnalizler neticesinde toplumsal değişme ve anaokulu ihtiyacı temelteması altında dört kategori oluşturulmuştur. Bu kategoriler; toplumsaldeğişmeye bağlı olarak kadının değişen konumu ve ana okulu ihtiyacı,ücretsiz ve zorunlu anaokulu ve fırsat eşitliği, çocukların sosyalleşmeihtiyacı ve kentleşme, değişen aile yapısı ve anaokulu ihtiyacıdır. Bukategoriler katılımcıların düşünce kodları ile haritalandırılmıştır

Every stage of education is important. However, the pre-school education has additional importance because it being the first stage of the school life and being the period that the children’s physical and mental development is accelerated; the given education in this period being able to shape the children’s future; and because the behavior acquired in the childhood years shapes the individual’s personality, attitude, habits, beliefs and value judgment. The need for pre-school education is obvious due to the reasons mentioned. In addition, from a sociological perspective, another subject of need is social change. That is to say, the various social changes in the economic and social life popularized pre-school education in the world and our country and raised the importance of pre-school education. Especially with the women entering the working life and changing women’s status, conversion in the family life, urbanization, and the increase of the importance on the equality of opportunity, the parents started to send their children to nursery schools more and more. For this reason, this study was conducted to explain the need for nursery schools with the mentioned categories of social change. In this study, in-depth interviews were done with a total of 12 inüdividuals via a semi-structured interview form. The six of the interviewees are teachers, and the other six are student’s parents. The interviews were done on a voluntary basis. In the analysis of the interviews, the MAXQDA qualitative research technique was made use of. As a result of the analyses, four categories were formed under the main theme of social change and the need for nursery schools. These categories are the need for nursery schools and the women’s changing position based on social change; the equality of opportunities and unpaid and compulsory nursery schools; urbanization and the children’s need for socialization; and the changing family structure and the need for nursery schools. These categories were mapped with the interviewees’ thought codes.
