Tekirdağ ilinde yayılış gösteren sığırkuyruğu (Verbascum L.) taksonları üzerine morfolojik, anatomik, palinolojik ve ekolojik çalışmalar

Abstract

Verbascum L. cinsi, içerdiği takson sayısı bakımından Türkiye'nin en büyük cinslerinden biridir. Dünya genelinde 360 tür ile temsil edilmektedir. Flora of Turkey and the East Aegaen Islands 6. Cilt yayınlandıktan sonra yeni tanımlanan taksonlar ile birlikte Verbascum cinsi Türkiye'de 255 tür (413 takson) ve 106 melez ile temsil edilmektedir. Mevcut Verbascum taksonlarının 192'si (melezler ile birlikte 198) endemiktir. Verbascum cinsi ile ilgili yapılan çalışmalar daha çok bölgesel, endemik veya taksonomik anlamda birbiri ile yakın olan taksonları temel almaktadır. Bu tez çalışmasında ise Tekirdağ ilinde yayılış gösteren Verbascum taksonlarının yayılışları belirlenmiştir ve bu taksonlar üzerine morfolojik, anatomik, palinolojik ve ekolojik çalışmalar gerçekleştirilmiştir. Ayrıca IUCN tehlike kategorileri belirlenmiştir. Bu tez çalışmasından önce 10 taksonun Tekirdağ'da yayılış gösterdiği bilinmektedir. Ancak bu tez ile birlikte bu sayı 17 taksona yükselmiştir. Verbascum bombyciferum, V. thapsus ve V. vacillans taksonlarının hem Trakya bölgesinde hem de Tekirdağ ilindeki, V. banaticum, V. blattaria, V. densiflorum ve V. ovalifolium subsp. thracicum taksonlarının ise Tekirdağ ilindeki yayılışı ilk defa bu tez çalışması ile ortaya konulmuştur. Arazi çalışmaları boyunca, V. orientale subsp. orientale ve V. mucronatum taksonlarının, literatürde verilen yayılışlarından ve habitat bilgilerinden yararlanılsa da Tekirdağ ilinde mevcut yayılışları tespit edilememiştir.

Verbascum L. is one of Turkey's largest genus, in terms of the number of taxa. It is represented by 360 species worldwide. After Flora of Turkey and the East Aegaen Islands published, Verbascum is represented by 255 species (413 taxa) and the 106 hybrids with newly described taxa in Turkey. 192 of the Verbascum taxa (198 with hybrids) are endemic to Turkey. Studies on the genus Verbascum are mostly based on taxa that are close to each other in terms of regional, endemic or taxonomic. In this thesis, the distribution of Verbascum taxa in Tekirdağ was determined and morphological, anatomical, palynological and ecological studies were carried out on these taxa. Also, IUCN threat categories have been determined. It is known that 10 taxa spread in Tekirdağ before this thesis. However, this number increased to 17 taxa with this thesis. The distribution of Verbascum bombyciferum, V. thapsus and V. vacillans in Thrace region and in Tekirdag province, V. banaticum, V. blattaria, V. densiflorum and V. ovalifolium subsp. thracicum in Tekirdağ province has been demonstrated with this thesis for the first time. Although the distribution and habitat information of V. orientale subsp. orientale and V. mucronatum taxons given in the literature were utilized, existing distribution in Tekirdağ province could not be determined during the field studies.
