Aile içi şiddet nedeniyle kadın konukevinden hizmet alan kadınların sosyo-demografik faktörler açısından değerlendirilmesi Trakya bölgesi örneği

Abstract

Aile içi şiddet tüm toplumlar ve sosyo-ekonomik gruplardaki kadınları etkileyen önemli bir sorundur. Aile içi şiddet, kadınlarda, sakatlıklar, cinsel yolla bulaşan HIV/AIDS vb. hastalıklar, intihar, ilaç-alkol bağımlılığı, travma sonrası stres bozukluğu gibi fiziksel, sosyal ve ruhsal problemlere yol açmaktadır. Şiddet gören kadınların genel sağlık durumu kötüleşmekte, yaşam kaliteleri düşmekte bu nedenle de; sağlık hizmeti kullanma oranları artmaktadır. Dünyada milyonlarca kadının şiddete maruz kaldığı bilinmektedir. Ancak gelenekler, kadının statüsünün düşük olması ve ekonomik özgürlüğünün olmaması gibi nedenlerle kadına yönelik şiddet çoğunlukla gizli tutulmaktadır. Konukevleri şiddete maruz kalan kadınların koruma altında tutulduğu mekânların başında gelmektedir. Bu çalışmada aile içi şiddet sebebiyle kadın konuk evinde kalan kadınlar sosyo-demografik faktörler açısından araştırılmıştır. Çalışma çerçevesinde, Trakya bölgesindeki üç şehirdeki (Edirne, Kırklareli, Tekirdağ) kadın konukevinde kalan, aile içi şiddet öyküsü olan 69 kadına uygulanan anketlerden elde edilen bulgular analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda, eğitim seviyesi, ekonomik durum, birlikte yaşanılan süre, şiddet görme öyküsü gibi değişkenlerin kadınların şiddete maruz kalmaları üzerindeki etkisinin öne çıktığı görülmüştür. Bunun yanında, şiddete maruz kalmanın psikolojik açıdan farklı seviye ve türlerde rahatsızlıklara sebebiyet verdiği bulgulamıştır. Araştırmanın sonucunda elde edilen bulgularla bu mağduriyetin yarattığı belirtilerin azaltılmasına yönelik çözümler elde edilmiştir. Bu çalışmanın, aile içi şiddet nedeniyle kadın konukevinden hizmet alan kadınların sosyo-demografik faktörlerin incelenmesi açısından ilerleyen dönemlerde yapılacak araştırmalar ve müdahale programlarına katkı sağlayabilecek bulgular sunduğu düşünülmektedir.

Domestic violence is a major problem affecting women in all societies and socio-economic groups. Domestic violence leads to physical and social problems in women. These problems include physical and mental problems such as disabilities, sexually transmitted HIV / AIDS diseases, suicide, drug-alcohol addiction, post traumatic stress disorder. The general health status of women who have experienced violence deteriorates their quality of life declines and the rate of utilization of health care services is increasing. It is known that millions of women in the world are exposed to violence. However traditions, low status of women and lack of economic freedom, women's violence is mostly kept secret. In the study women in the female guests staying at the house, the frequency of exposure to domestic violence and socio-demographic characteristics determined was to investigate the relationship of these women social life. Women’s guesthouses are one of the places where women who are exposed to violence are protected. In this study, women which staying in a women's guest house due to domestic violence were investigated in terms of socio demographic factors. This study covers the findings of women living in women's guesthouses in three cities in Trakya region (Edirne, Kırklareli, Tekirdağ) with stories of domestic violence. As a result of the study, it was seen that the effect of variables such as education level, economic situation, duration of living together, and history of violence on women's exposure to violence became prominent. In addition, it has been found that exposure to violence causes psychological disorders at different levels and types. As a result of the findings of the study, solutions were obtained to reduce the symptoms caused by this victimization. It is thought that this study presents findings that may contribute to future research and intervention programs in terms of examining socio-demographic factors of women receiving services from the women's guesthouse due to domestic violence.
