Cerrahi bilimlerde çalışan hemşirelerin eğitim öncesi ve sonrası izolasyon önlemlerine uyumlarının değerlendirilmesine yönelik bir çalışma

Abstract

Araştırma, cerrahi birimlerde çalışan hemşirelerin eğitim öncesi ve sonrası izolasyon önlemlerine uyumlarını değerlendirmek amacıyla tanımlayıcı ve kesitsel nitelikte planlandı ve uygulandı. Araştırmanın evrenini; Nisan-Kasım 2016 tarihleri arasında Tekirdağ/ Süleymanpaşa ilçesindeki, Tekirdağ Namık Kemal Üniversitesi Sağlık Uygulama ve Araştırma Merkezi ile Devlet ve Özel Hastanelerin cerrahi kliniklerde çalışan 250 hemşire, örneklemi ise örneklem seçim kriterlerini karşılayan ve çalışmaya katılmaya gönüllü olan 144 hemşire oluşturdu. Literatür bilgileri doğrultusunda ve uzman kişilerin görüşleri alınarak araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan ‘‘Çalışan Veri Formu’’ ve Tayran tarafından (2009) geliştirilen ‘‘İzolasyon Önlemlerine Uyum Ölçeği’’ ile elde edilen veriler, SPSS 22.00 istatistik paket programında, uygun istatistiksel yöntemler kullanılarak değerlendirildi. Araştırmaya katılan cerrahi hemşirelerin yaş ortalamasının 28,9±8,49, %91’inin kadın, %56,3’ünün lisans mezunu, %58,3’ünün meslekte beş yıldan daha az, %81,9’unun ise çalışılan birimde beş yıldan daha az çalışma süresine sahip olduğu, %32,6’sının devlet, %36,1’inin üniversite, %31,3’ünün özel hastanelerde, %34,7’sinin servis, %27,8’inin ameliyathane, %37,52’inin yoğun bakım birimlerinde çalıştığı belirlendi. Hemşirelerin eğitimden hemen sonra izolasyon önlemlerine uyum düzeyi 90 puan üzerinden 80,389 ±7,106 olarak saptandı (p< 0,05). Sonuç olarak; cerrahi birimde çalışan hemşirelerin izolasyon önlemlerine eğitim sonrası uyum puanları, eğitim öncesine göre yüksek bulundu. Hemşirelerin izolasyon önlemlerine uyumları konusunda kurumsal desteğin sağlanması, hizmet içi eğitimlerde hemşirelerin mesleki özellikleri ve kurumsal faktörler dikkate alınarak planlamaların yapılması ve eğitimlerin düzenli aralıklarla tekrarlanması önerilmektedir.

This study has been planned and performed as a descriptive and sectional study to evaluate the adaptation of nurses working in surgical departments to the isolation precautions. The target population of the study is: 250 nurses working during April-November 2016 in surgical departments of Namık Kemal University Health Research and Application Center, State and private hospitals in the Suleymanpasa county of Tekirdag province and a sample of 144 nurses volunteer to participate to the study meeting the sampling criteria. The data obtained from “Worker’s data form” and “Adaptation Scale To the Isolation Precautions” developed by Tayran (2009) in line with the literature and expert’s opinion, were evaluated by using appropriate statistical methods within SPSS 22.00 statistical package programme. The mean age of the surgical nurses participated to the study was 28,9 ±8,49, 91 % were women, 56,3 % university graduate, 58,3 being in profession less than five years, 81,9 being in the department less than five years, 32,6 % working in state hospital, 36,1 % in university hospital, 31,3 % in private hospitals, 34,7 % in the ward, 27,8 % in operating room, 37,52 % in intensive care. Immediately after the education, the adaptation score of the nurses to the isolation precautions were calculated 80.389±7.106 over 90 (p< 0,05). Consequently, the adaptation score of the nurses working in surgical departments, was higher than before the education. It has been suggested that the institution should support the adaptation of the nurses to the isolation precautions, education should be planned considering the professional characteristics of the nurses and the factors of the institution and this etraning should be repeated with regular intervals.
