Fiber optik kablonun kalite parametrelerinin belirlenmesi kablo tasarımı, kablo maliyeti ve kullanılacağı alana uyumu açısından büyük önem arz etmektedir In the communication industry, different types of fiber optic cables are produced and used for various environments and purposes. Produced fiber optic cables can show different efficiency and strength characteristics, under different environmental and mechanical conditions. The reason for this situation can be the quality, quantity and production defects of the materials used in cable manufacturing. Fiber optic cables must meet certain international quality standards, according to the environment in which they are produced and used. The standardized test layouts and software for domestic production of fiber optic cables, in this study, have been designed and reconstructed and automated. Thus, the tests are carried out independently of the human interference and the error rate, costs are minimized and live monitoring is maintained. Their responses to environmental effects such as: temperature and tension; and to mechanical effects such as: bending and crushing; and their relationships between each other are detected and assessed. These responses are the loss of light through the fiber optic cable, elongation of the fiber core length and elongation of the length of the cable. Determination, of quality parameters of fiber optic cables, is of great importance in terms of cable design, cable cost and adaptation to the area where it will be used.
