Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Üniversitesi Fındıklı Uygulamalı Bilimler Yüksekokulu Öğrencilerinin İlçe Dışı Harcama Sızıntılarının Tespiti Ve İktisadi Sonuçları

Abstract

Üniversiteler kurulmuş oldukları kentler için önemli gelir kaynaklarıdır. Öğrenci harcamaları kentteki pek çok ekonomik aktörün ana gelir kaynağını oluşturmaktadır ve bu gelir çarpan etkisiyle artarak tüm kente yayılmaktadır. Ancak üniversite öğrencilerinin harcamalarının ne kadarlık bölümünü öğrenim gördükleri kentte gerçekleştirdikleri önemli bir soru işaretidir. Öğrencilerin öğrenim gördükleri kent dışında harcama gerçekleştirmeleri sonucunda buharcamalar kent ekonomisi dışına sızacaktır ve öğrencilerin kente katkıları azalacaktır. Çalışmamızda Rize ili Fındıklı ilçesinde öğrenim gören öğrencilerin harcamalarının ne kadarlık bölümünün ilçe dışına sızdığı araştırılmıştır. Böylelikle ilçe ekonomisinin yıllık kaybının belirlenmesi hedeflenmiştir. Aynı zamanda ilçe dışına sızan harcama kalemlerinin ağırlıkları belirlenerek ilçede politika yapıcılara bu kayıpların önlenmesi için yatırım önerileri geliştirilmesi hedeflenmiştir

Universities are important sources of income for the cities which they are established. Student expenses are main income for most economic agents and this income expand to entire city by multiplier mechanism. But it is an important question how much of the student expenses are done in the city which they study. By the expenses of the students which are done out of the city, the expenses will leak out of the city economy and the contribution of students to the city will be reduced. In this paper it is studied that how much of the expenses whic are done by the students study in Fındıklı/Rize leak out of the city economy. By the help of this it is aimed that to calculate the annual losses of the city economy. At the same time to define the expenditure items which are the reasons of the leaks. By this the policy makers of the city will be able to make required investments to avoid the leaks.
