Savunma sanayi Arge harcamalrının makroekonomik performansa etkisi: Türkiye örneği

Abstract

Günümüzde pek çok dünya ülkesi gelirlerinde savunma harcamalarının payı oldukça büyüktür. Bu durum savunma sanayi gelişmiş, üretici ülkeler için olumlu sonuçlar doğururken, savunma sanayinde dışa bağımlı ithalatçı konumundaki ülkeler için ise uzun dönemde büyük ekonomik sorunlar doğurabilmektedir. Çalışmada Türkiye’de savunma sanayi ARGE harcamalarının reel hâsıla ve cari işlemler dengesi ürerindeki etkileri araştırılmaktadır. Çalışma sonucunda savunma sanayi üretim harcamalarını temsilen savunma sanayi Ar-Ge harcamalarının reel hasılayı etkilemediği ancak cari açığı olumlu etkilediği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

In many countries of the world today, the share of defense spending on their income is quite large. While this situation has produced positive results for the defense industry and the producer countries, for the countries that are dependent on foreign importers in the defense industry, it can create big economic problems in the long run. The effects of the R&D spending of the defense industry in Turkey on the real GDP and the current acount balance is analyzed in the study. As a result of the study, as an indicator of defense industry production expenditures, defense industry R & D expenditures do not affect real GDP, but the current deficit is positively affected.
