Turizm sektörünün Kapadokya-Nevşehir bölgesine sosyo-ekonomik katkıları ve karşılaştığı sorunlar üzerine bir çalışma

Abstract

Dünya ekonomisindeki payı yıllar içerisinde büyük oranda artan turizm sektörü, günümüzde ülkeler için önemli bir pazar haline gelmiş durumdadır. Özellikle Türkiye gibi hem gelişmekte hem de turizm çeşitliliği açısından zengin bir ülke için turizm ülkeye ekonomik olduğu kadar sosyal anlamda da büyük katkılar sağlamaktadır. Türkiye'de bu yüzden turizm sektörüne olan yatırımlarını son yıllarda büyük ölçüde artırmıştır. Bu yatırımlarla ülkeye gelen turist sayısını, turizm gelirlerini ve kişi başı turizm harcamalarının artılmasını amaçlamaktadır. Bu turizm yatırımlarının yapıldığı turizm bölgelerinden birisi de eşsiz doğal güzelliklere sahip Kapadokya bölgesidir. Kapadokya bölgesi sahip olduğu turizm güzellikleri sayesinde, Türkiye için önemli bir turizm destinasyonudur. Bu bağlamda söz konusu araştırmanın amacı; turizm sektörünün hem Türkiye hem de Kapadokya-Nevşehir bölgesi açısından ekonomik, sosyal ve çevresel boyutlarıyla değerlendirilmesini ve bu bölgenin ulusal ve uluslararası platformalarda tanınması için önerilerde bulunmaktır. Ayrıca turizm sektörünün karşılaştığı sorunlarda geniş bir bakış açısı ile ele alınmıştır. Araştırma kapsamında araştırma amaçları doğrultusunda oluşturulan anket formu kolayına örnekleme yöntemi çerçevesinde çekirdek Kapadokya olarak anılan Nevşehir ilinde ikamet eden 240 adet örnekleme uygulanmıştır.

The tourism sector whose share in the world economy has increased greatly over the years has become an important market for countries nowadays. Especially for both a developing country and a prosperous country in terms of tourism diversity like Turkey, tourism provides great contributions to the country both economically and socially. Turkey has increased considerably the investments in the tourism sector in recent years because of these advantages. By way of these investments, Turkey has purposed to increase the number of tourists coming to the country, tourism revenues, and tourism expenditures a pop. One of the regions where these tourism investments are made in the region of Cappadocia, which has unique beauties in Turkey. The region of Cappadocia is an important destination for Turkey because of its unique beauty. In this context, the aim of the said research is to evaluate the tourism sector in terms of both Turkey and the Cappadocia-Nevsehir region with its economic, social, and environmental dimensions and make suggestions for the recognition of this region on national and international platforms. In addition, the problems faced by the tourism sector are also discussed with a comprehensive perspective. Within the scope of the research, 240 samples residing in the province of Nevsehir, known as core Cappadocia, were applied to the survey form, which was created in line with the research purposes, within the framework of the sampling method.
