Enerji tüketimi ve büyüme ilişkisi üzerine bir panel veri analizi

Abstract

Bu çalışmada 33 OECD ülkesi için enerji tüketimi ve ekonomik büyüme ilişkisi üzerine 1995-2015 yılları arasındaki veri setini kullanarak panel veri analizi gerçekleştirilmiştir. LLC, IPS ve Fisher ADF–PP birim kök testleri kullanılarak serilerin durağanlığı sınanmıştır. Breusch Pagan testi ile birimler arasında yatay kesit bağımlılığı tespit edildiği için Pesaran CADF testi ile durağanlık durumu araştırılmıştır. Pedroni eşbütünleşme testi ile iki değişkenin uzun dönemde birbirleriyle anlamlı ilişki içinde oldukları saptanmıştır. Uzun ve kısa dönem tahmin modelleri için PMG ve MG tahmin yöntemleri doğrusal model ve doğrusal olmayan model üzerine kurulmuştur. Ampirik analiz neticesinde 33 OECD ülkesi için geri bildirim hipotezinin geçerli olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. In this study, panel data analysis was conducted for 33 OECD countries on the relationship between energy consumption and economics growth by using the data set between 1995 and 2015. LLC, IPS, and Fisher ADF-PP unit root tests were tested for stationarities of the series. Since the cross-sectional dependence between the units was determined by Breusch Pagan test. Pesaran CADF test and second generation panel unit root test were applied. Pedroni cointegration test showed that the two variables were significantly related to each other in the long term. PMG and MG estimation methods for long and short term prediction models are based on linear model and nonlinear model. As a result of the empirical analysis, it was concluded that the feedback hypothesis was valid for 33 OECD countries. It has been determined that energy consumption and economic growth variables are affected from each other.
