Semptomatik Makromastili Kadınlarda Küçültme Mammoplastinin Vücut Algısı, Yaşam Kalitesi ve Depresyon Düzeyleri Üzerine Etkileri

Abstract

Amaç Bu çalışmanın amacı, semptomatik makromastili kadınlarda meme küçültme ameliyatının bireylerin yaşam kalitesi, depresyon düzeyi ve vücut imajını algılama durumu üzerine etkilerini belirlemektir. Materyal ve Metot Çalışma semptomatik makromastili 45 hastada gerçekleştirilmiştir. Ameliyat öncesi ve ameliyattan 6 ay sonra vücut imajını algılama durumu, depresyon düzeyi ve yaşam kalitesi düzeyleri karşılaştırılmıştır. Araştırmada, Hasta Veri Toplama Formu, SF-36 yaşam kalitesi ölçeği, Vücüt Algısı Ölçeği, ve Beck depresyon ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Bulgular Hastaların yaş ortalaması 41,020 ± 11,526 (yaş aralığı 18- 61) idi. Çıkarılan meme dokusu ağırlığı ortalaması 2808,890 ± 559,859 gr idi. Hastaların ortalama vücut kitle indeksi (VKİ) ameliyat öncesi 35,030±5,376 kg/m2 (min 24,51 kg/m2 ; max 46,88 kg/m2 ), ameliyat sonrası 33,320±5,083 kg/m2 (min 23,8 kg/m2 ; max 44,53 kg/m2 ) idi. Hastaların preoperatif ölçümlere göre postoperatif 6. ayda vücut algısı ve depresyon düzeylerindeki düşüş ve SF-36 yaşam kalitesi düzeylerindeki artış istatistiksel olarak anlamlıydı (p<0,05). Sonuç Çalışmamız semptomatik makromastili kadınlarda küçültme mammoplasti sonrası yaşam kalitesi, vücut algısı ve depresyon düzeylerinde iyileşmeler olduğunu göstermiştir.

Aim The aim of the present study is to examine the effects of reduction mammaplasty on body perception, quality of life and depression levels in women with symptomatic macromastia. Materials and Methods This study included 45 patients with symptomatic macromastia. Quality of life, body perception and depression levels compared before and 6 months after reduction mammaplasty. The Information Form, the SF-36 Quality of Life Form, Body Perception Scale Form, and the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) were administered to the patients. Results The mean participant age was 41,020 ± 11,526 (range 18– 61 years). The mean total weight of the specimens resected from both breasts 2808,890 ± 559,859 gr. Patients preoperative BMI ranged from 24.51 to 46.88 kg/m2 , with a mean of. 35,030±5,376 kg/m2 . Postoperative BMI ranged from 23.80 to 44.53 kg/m2, with a mean of 33,320±5,083 kg/m2 . Compared to preoperative scores, we found significant improvements in SF-36 quality of life scores, body perception scores and depression levels conducted in the sixth month after the surgery (p<0,05). Conclusion Our study has shown that quality of life, body perception and depression was improved after reduction mammaplsty in women with symptomatic macromastia.
