NEOKLASİK İKTİSADİ DÜŞÜNCEYE ELEŞTİREL BİR BAKIŞ: THORSTEIN BUNDE VEBLEN

Abstract

Thorstein Bunde Veblen düşünce dünyası, fikirleri ve kişiliğiyle farklılıklar yaratan bir bilim adamı olmuştur. İktisat ve sosyoloji alanında katkı sağlamıştır. Marksist olmayan görüşleriyle kapitalist sistemi eleştirmiştir. Gösterişçi tüketim kavramını ilk kullanan iktisatçıdır. Veblen evrimci iktisat düşüncesine sahiptir. İktisadın evrimsel bir temelde “Post Darwinci” bir bilim olarak yeniden kurulması gerektiğini söylemiştir. Veblen’in yerleşik iktisat geleneğine yönelik ciddi eleştirileri olmuş ve Neoklasik iktisadın evrimsel anlayıştan uzak olarak nitelemiştir ve iktisadı Darwin öncesi bilimler gurubunda değerlendirmiştir. Kurumsal iktisadın oluşmasında büyük katkısı olmuştur. Kurumları, geçmişten gelen yerleşik düşünce alışkanlıklarının toplamını yansıtan ve bireylerin eğilimlerini, tercihlerini ve değerlerini biçimlendiren önemli bir unsur olarak ifade etmiştir. Bu çalışmada kısaca, iktisadi düşünce açısından önemi bir isim olan Thorstein Bunde Veblen hakkında genel bir değerlendirme yapılacaktır.

Thorstein Bunde Veblen has been a scientist who created differences with his the thought of world, ideas, and personality. Veblen contributed. the field of economics and sociology. He criticized capitalist system with the views of non-Marxist thoughts. He is the first economist who used the concept of conspicuous consumption. Veblen has the idea of evolutionary economics. Veblen said that economics needed to be rebuilt, science of "Post-Darwinian" with the evolutionary foundations. Veblen has been serious criticisms about based as a - Economics tradition. Veblen described Neoclassical Economics as far from the evolutionary understanding and He evaluated economics in group of Pre-Darwinian sciences. Veblen has played an important role in the formation of Institutional Economics. According to him, institutions reflects practices of thinking from the past. He expressed institution as an important factor which reformat individuals tendencies, preferences, and values.In this study, basically, a general evaluation will be made of the importance of Veblen's.economic thought
