| dc.description.abstract | Kuramsal birçok tartışmaya konu olan ve okurlarda oldukça merak uyandıran, ayrıca romanın alt türlerinden birini oluşturan tarihsel roman, yazın dünyasında son yıllarda roman yazarları arasında önemli ölçüde ilgi görmektedir. Yazarın, tarihsel bir dönemi ya da olayı, tarihsel gerçekler ışığında kurgusal bir öyküyle okura aktardığı bu roman türü, tarih ile yazını birleştirerek okurun tarihsel döneme ve olaylara farklı bir açıdan bakmasını sağlamaktadır. Bu bağlamda romanın tarihsel olayları aktarma sırasında, yazınsal nitelikli, akıcı ve coşkulu olması gereğinden hareketle, yazar sadece anlatının tarihsel boyutunu değil; aynı zamanda yazınsal boyutunu da dikkate alır. Üstelik yazar bu roman türüne, okurlarda tarih bilinci yaratmak gibi eğitsel bir yararlılık işlevi yükler. Tarihsel roman en yalın ifadeyle kurgu ve tarihsel gerçeğin karışımıdır. Yazarlar, tarihsel bir dönemi sahneleyerek, resmî belgelerin tamamlayamadığı veya eksik bıraktıklarını doldurarak kişisel yorumlarını eklerler. Tarihsel roman sadece gerçeklerin kronolojik bir sırayla anlatıldığı bir yapıt olmayıp; bir olayın veya bir tarihsel dönemin atmosferini yansıtarak meydana gelen gerçeklerin mantıklı açıklamalarını sunar. Bir romanın tarihsel roman olarak kabul görmesi için öykülenme zamanı ile romana konu olan olaylar arasında belli bir sürenin geçmiş olması gerekir. Kısaca sıralanan tarihsel romanın nitelikleri göz önünde bulundurulduğunda, Çanakkale Cehennemi'nin Çanakkale Savaşı'nı gerçeklere bağlı fakat kurgusal birii yapıyla aktarışı, savaşa dair yorumları, hikâye zamanıyla romanın arasındaki süre gibi nitelikleri nedeniyle tarihsel roman türünde bir yapıt olduğu değerlendirilebilir. Tezde tarihsel roman kuramının tanımıyla birlikte özellikleri sıralanarak gelişimini ve türün çeşitli ülkelerdeki öncülerine yer verilmiştir. Verilen kuramsal bilgiler, alanın kuramcılarının belirlediği ölçütler çerçevesinde Fransız tarihçi ve yazar Pierre Miquel'in Türkçeye Çanakkale Cehennemi olarak çevrilen L'enfer des Dardanelles adlı yapıtı incelenmiştir. Geçmişi, gerçeklere sadık kalarak kurgusal olaylar ve kişileri harmanlayarak okura keyif verici bir şekilde aktaran Çanakkale Cehennemi, tarihsel roman kuramına uygunluk açısından yetkin bir örnek oluşturduğu saptaması yapılmıştır. Pierre Miquel, Çanakkale Savaşı'nı roman kişilerinin tanıklıkları ve yaşanmışlıkları doğrultusunda kesitsel olarak sergilediği romanında, bir yazar olarak tarihçi kimliği ve tarih bilgisi kadar, yazınsal yeteneğe sahip olduğunu da kanıtlar. Sonuç olarak, Türk tarihi ve yazınında önemli bir yeri olan Çanakkale Savaşlarına ilişkin farklı gözlem ve olayların, tarihsel roman teknikleri çerçevesinde tarihsel gerçekliklerine ve tarihsel romanın tanımının gerektirdiği ilkeler doğrultusunda hem tarihsel belgelere dayandırılarak hem de yazınsal bir tür olarak roman gerçekleri doğrultusunda kurguyla yoğrularak öykülendiği tespit edilmiştir. Olayların anlatılmasında yazarın oluşturduğu kurgu evrenine uygun olarak tarihsel kişiliklerin yanı sıra kurgusal kişiliklere yer verildiği gözlenmiş ve tezimizde hangi kişiliklerin tarihsel, hangilerinin kurgusal olduğu belirtilmiştir. Çanakkale Cehennemi'nin ana izleği olan Çanakkale Savaşının yabancı bir yazarın bakış açısından anlatımı hem tarihsel hem de yazınsal bakımdan ilgi çekmektedir. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | The historical novel, which is the subject of many theoretical discussions and arouses great curiosity in the readers, and which is one of the sub-genres of the novel, has attracted a great deal of attention among novelists in recent years in the literary world. This type of novel, in which the author conveys a historical period or event to the reader with a fictional story in the light of historical facts, combines history and literature, allowing the reader to look at the historical period and events from a different perspective. In this context, considering the fact that the novel should be of literary quality, fluent and enthusiastic during the transfer of historical events, the author does not only consider the historical dimension of the narrative; it also takes into account its literary dimension. Moreover, the author attributes to this type of novel an educational utility, such as raising historical awareness in the readers. The historical novel is simply a mixture of fiction and historical fact. Authors add personal comments by staging a historical period, filling in what official documents failed to complete or left incomplete. The historical novel is not only a work in which the facts are told in a chronological order; It offers logical explanations of facts that occur, reflecting the atmosphere of an event or a historical period. In order for a novel to be accepted as a historical novel, a certain period of time must have passed between the time of storytelling and the events that are the subject of the novel. Considering the characteristics of the historical novel listed briefly, it can be considered that Çanakkale Hell is a work in the genre of a historical novel because of its characteristics such as its narration of the Battle of Çanakkale with a fictional but factual structure, its interpretations of the war, and the time between the story and the novel.v In the thesis, the development of the historical novel theory and its development and the pioneers of the genre in various countries are given by listing its characteristics together with the definition. Within the framework of the theoretical information given and the criteria determined by the theorists of the field, the French historian and writer Pierre Miquel's L'enfer des Dardanelles, translated into Turkish as Çanakkale Cehennemi, was examined. It has been determined that Çanakkale Cehennemi, which conveys the past to the reader in an enjoyable way by adhering to the facts and blending fictional events and people, constitutes a competent example in terms of conformity with the theory of historical novel. Pierre Miquel, in his novel, in which he presents the Battle of Çanakkale in a cross-sectional manner in line with the witnesses and experiences of the characters in the novel, proves that he has literary talent as a writer as well as his historian identity and historical knowledge. As a result, it has been determined that different observations and events related to the Dardanelles Wars, which have an important place in Turkish history and literature, have been narrated by being kneaded with fiction in line with the facts of the novel as a literary genre, and based on their historical realities within the framework of historical novel techniques and the principles required by the definition of the historical novel. It has been observed that in the narration of the events, fictional personalities as well as historical personalities are included in accordance with the fictional universe created by the author, and in our thesis, it is stated which personalities are historical and which are fictional. The narration of the Dardanelles War, which is the main theme of Çanakkale Cehennemi, from the perspective of a foreign author, attracts attention both in terms of history and literature. Le roman historique, qui fait l'objet de nombreuses discussions théoriques et suscite une grande curiosité chez les lecteurs, et qui est l'un des sous-genres du roman, a beaucoup retenu l'attention des romanciers ces dernières années dans le monde littéraire. Ce type de roman, dans lequel l'auteur transmet une période ou un événement historique au lecteur avec une histoire fictive à la lumière de faits historiques, combine l'histoire et la littérature, permettant au lecteur de regarder la période historique et les événements sous un angle différent. Dans ce contexte, compte tenu du fait que le roman doit être de qualité littéraire, fluide et enthousiaste lors du transfert d'événements historiques, l'auteur ne considère pas seulement la dimension historique du récit ; il prend également en compte sa dimension littéraire. De plus, l'auteur attribue à ce type de roman une utilité pédagogique, telle que la sensibilisation historique des lecteurs. Le roman historique est simplement un mélange de fiction et de faits historiques. Les auteurs ajoutent des commentaires personnels en mettant en scène une période historique, en remplissant ce que les documents officiels n'ont pas réussi à compléter ou laisser incomplet. Le roman historique n'est pas seulement une œuvre dans laquelle les faits sont racontés dans un ordre chronologique ; il propose des explications logiques des faits qui se produisent, reflétant l'atmosphère d'un événement ou d'une période historique. Pour qu'un roman soit accepté comme roman historique, un certain laps de temps doit s'être écoulé entre le moment de la narration et les événements qui font l'objet du roman. Compte tenu des caractéristiques du roman historique énumérées brièvement, on peut considérer que L'enfer des Dardanelles est une œuvre du genre roman historique en raison de ses caractéristiques telles que sa narration de la bataille des Dardanelles avec une structure fictive mais factuelle, ses interprétations de la guerre, et le temps entre l'histoire et le roman. Dans la thèse, le développement de la théorie du roman historique et son développement et les pionniers du genre dans divers pays sont donnés en énumérant ses caractéristiques ainsi que la définition. Dans le cadre des informations théoriques fournies et des critères déterminés par les théoriciens du domaine, L'enfer des Dardanelles de l'historien et écrivain français Pierre Miquel, traduit en turc par L'enfer des Dardanelles, a été analysé. On a été déterminé que L'enfer des Dardanelles, qui transmet le passé au lecteur de manière agréable en adhérant aux faits et en mélangeant des événements et des personnages fictifs, constitue un exemple compétent en matière de conformité avec la théorie du roman historique. Pierre Miquel, dans son roman, dans lequel il présente la bataille des Dardanelles de manière transversale en lien avec les témoignages et les expériences des personnages du roman, prouve qu'il a un talent littéraire d'écrivain ainsi que son identité d'historien et connaissances historiques. En conséquence, on a témoigné que différentes observations et événements liés aux batailles des Dardanelles, qui occupent une place importante dans l'histoire et la littérature turques, ont été racontés en étant pétris de fiction en accord avec les faits du roman en tant que genre littéraire et sur la base de leurs réalités historiques dans le cadre des techniques du roman historique et des principes requis par la définition du roman historique. On a observé que dans la narration des événements, des personnalités fictives ainsi que des personnalités historiques sont incluses conformément à l'univers fictif créé par l'auteur, et dans notre thèse, il est indiqué quelles personnalités sont historiques et lesquelles sont fictives. La narration de la bataille des Dardanelles, qui est le thème principal de Çanakkale Cehennemi, du point de vue d'un auteur étranger, attire l'attention à la fois en termes d'histoire et de littérature. | en_US |
