Milli judocuların sosyal zekâları ile sportmenlik davranışları arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesi

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı judo sporu ile ilgilenen milli judocuların sosyal zekâları ile sportmenlik davranışları arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemektir. Araştırma grubunu; 2021-2022 yılları arasında 18 yaşından büyük Türkiye Judo Federasyonuna bağlı aktif olarak spor hayatına devam eden 61 erkek ve 54 kadın olmak üzere 115 gönüllü milli sporcu oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmaya dahil edilen sporcuların sosyal zekâ ve sportmenlik davranışları yaş, cinsiyet, millilik kategorisi değişkenlerine göre incelenmiştir. Araştırma grubunun belirlenmesi için olasılığa dayalı olmayan örnekleme yöntemlerinden kolay ulaşılabilir durum örneklemesi yöntemi kullanılmıştır. İlişkisel tarama yöntemi ile yapılan araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak "Kişisel Bilgi Formu", "Tromso Sosyal Zekâ Ölçeği" ve "Çok Boyutlu Sportmenlik Yönelimi Ölçeği" kullanılmıştır. Araştırma verilerinin çözüm ve yorumlamasında önce araştırma bulgularına Kolmogorov Smirnov Testi ve Shapiro - Wilk Testi yapılmış ve elde edilen verilerin normal dağılım göstermediği tespit edilmiştir. Bu sonuca göre ilişkisiz ölçümler için non - parametrik testlerden Mann - Whitney U Testi ve Kruskal - Wallis H Testi kullanılmıştır. Ayrıca değişkenler arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesi için Spearman Korelasyon Testi kullanılmıştır. Elde etiğimiz sonuçları yorumlamak ve etki değerlerini ölçmek için Cohen's r kullanılmış olup buna göre veriler küçük (<0,10), orta (0,11-0,30), büyük (0,31>), etki olarak değerlendirilmiştir (Cohen, 1992). Tüm istatistiksel analizler, Windows için SPSS sürüm 16.0 kullanılarak hesaplanmış olup verilerin anlamlılık düzeyi p?0.05 olarak belirlenmiştir. Bu çalışmanın sonucunda; judo sporu ile ilgilenen sporcuların sosyal zekâlarının sportmenlik davranışlara etkisinin olduğu, araştırmada elde edilen verilerin sonuçları göre; cinsiyetin sosyal zekâ alt boyutlarında fark tespit edilmezken sportmenlik yönelimi alt boyutlarında sadece kurallar ve yönetime saygı alt boyutunda kadınlara ait değerlerin erkeklere göre anlamlı derece yüksek olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Yaş değişkeni sosyal zekâ alt boyutlarına göre 23 yaş ve üzeri için sosyal bilgi süreci düzeylerinin yüksek çıktığı bulunmuştur. Diğer alt boyutlardan sosyal beceri ve sosyal farkındalık yaş değişkenlerine göre fark çıkmamıştır. Yaş değişkeni sportmenlik yönelimi alt boyutlarına göre 27 yaş üzeri için sosyal normlara uyum düzeylerinin diğer yaş gruplarına göre yüksek çıktığı bulunmuştur. 27 yaş üzeri için rakibe saygı düzeylerinin diğer yaş gruplarına göre yüksek çıktığı bulunmuştur. Millilik kategorisi değişkeninin sosyal zekâ ve sportmenlik yönelimleri alt boyutları arasında herhangi bir anlamlı ilişkisi bulunmamaktadır.

The aim of this research is to examine the relationship between the social intelligence and sportsmanship behaviors of national judo players who are interested in judo. The research group; Between 2021-2022, it consists of 115 volunteer national athletes, 61 men and 54 women, who are over the age of 18 and continue their sports life actively under the Turkish Judo Federation. The social intelligence and sportsmanship behaviors of the athletes included in the study were examined according to the variables of age, gender and nationality category. In order to determine the research group, the easily accessible case sampling method, which is one of the non-probability sampling methods, was used. "Personal Information Form", "Tromso Social Intelligence Scale" and "Multidimensional Sportsmanship Orientation Scale" were used as data collection tools in the research conducted with the relational screening method. In the solution and interpretation of the research data, Kolmogorov Smirnov Test and Shapiro - Wilk Test were first applied to the research findings and it was determined that the data obtained did not show a normal distribution. According to this result, Mann - Whitney U Test and Kruskal - Wallis H Test, which are non-parametric tests, were used for unrelated measurements. In addition, Spearman Correlation Test was used to examine the relationship between the variables. Cohen's r was used to interpret the results we obtained and to measure the effect values, and according to this, the data were evaluated as small (<0.10), medium (0.11-0.30), large (0.31>), effect (Cohen, 1992). All statistical analyzes were calculated using SPSS version 16.0 for Windows, and the significance level of the data was determined as p?0.05. As a result of this study; According to the results of the data obtained in the study, it was determined that the social intelligence of the athletes interested in judo sports has an effect on sportsmanship behaviors; While no difference was found in the social intelligence sub-dimensions of gender, only the values of women in the sub-dimensions of sportsmanship orientation were found to be significantly higher than men in the sub-dimension of respect for rules and management. According to the age variable social intelligence sub-dimensions, it was found that the social information process levels were higher for the age of 23 and above. Social skills and social awareness from other sub-dimensions did not differ according to age variables. According to the age variable, sportsmanship orientation sub-dimensions, it was found that the level of compliance with social norms for those over the age of 27 was higher than other age groups. It was found that the level of respect for the opponent for those over the age of 27 was higher than the other age groups. There is no significant relationship between the sub-dimensions of social intelligence and sportsmanship orientations of the nationality category variable.
