Ferranti introduced history into his fiction with a new historicism approach. This approach deconstructs the structure of the historiographical tradition and launches a hypothesis of the fictionality of history and the historicity of fiction. And yet, all history written subjectively by a political power with personal biases can never tell us the truth. The writer tries to problematize the truth and the fiction in historical sense in his own narrative hybrid. The novel relates the story of Barbara of Brandenburg, a German princess, who came to marry the Duke of Mantua in Italy, Louis de Gonzague. Ferranti. Taking inspiration from the couple’s bedroom, designed by Mantegna, an Italian painter of the fifteenth century in the ducal palace of San Giorgio in Mantua, the novel recounts scenes photographic illusionist of historical perspective. Reflections of magical paintings find their meanings in writing. Finally, not only the story is fictionalized but also the fiction is historicizedtrinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessDil ve Dil BilimMarıe Ferrantı'nin Mantova Prensesi Adlı Romanına Bir Yeni Tarihselci YaklaşımA New Historicist Approach To the Princess Of Mantoue By Marie FerrantiArticle022127142TWpjMU5EZzVPUT09
