This chapter explores the importance of saliva biomarkers and summarizes recent advances in biosensor fabrication. The identification of diagnostic, prognostic and therapeutic markers in this matrix enables more rapid and frequent testing when combined with the use of biosensor technology. Challenges and future goals are highlighted and examined. © 2023 Elsevier Inc.en10.1016/bs.acc.2022.11.001info:eu-repo/semantics/closedAccessBiosensorsCancerCardiovascular diseaseDrugs and toxic compoundsSaliva biomarkersViral and bacterial diseasebiological markerhumansalivaBiomarkersHumansSalivaBiosensors for saliva biomarkersBook Chapter1131412-s2.0-8514492734136858644Q4
