Sustainable development goal (SDG 2030) 13 is climate action, and some of the other goals are also related to this area. The most important consequences of climate change are the danger of biodiversity decrease, drought, and water security. Reforestation is an important tool in tackling these problems. This tool can be achieved through central and local government strategies that will mobilize citizen participation and voluntary participation. So the aim of the study is to discuss the role of local governments in public participation in reforestation activities. In this study, reforestation activities will be examined based on SDG15. The role of local governments and the effects of local participation in these activities will be discussed. In this study, which basically includes a literature review, some numerical indicators will also be used.en10.1007/978-3-031-10437-4_2info:eu-repo/semantics/closedAccessSustainability2030 SDGReforestationLocal governmentsPublic participationThe Role of Local Governments in Encouraging Participation in Reforestation ActivitiesBook Chapter2544N/AWOS:001071338700002
