In this study, it is aimed to produce a durable, high insulating and economical concrete which can be used in construction sector as well as reducing the damages to the environment and human health of hazelnut shell as waste of an agricultural waste. For this purpose, hazelnut shell ash was used as substitution with 0,5,10%,15 and 20% cement. As a result of the research, a concrete were produced a low unit weight, high water absorption rate, sufficient compressive strength and heat and sound insulation by using hazelnut shell ash up to 10% as a pozzolan instead of cement. © 2020 Parlar Scientific Publications.
